If you dream on a vacation on a private island but can’t afford that, then Koh Ngai Paradise Beach Resort is the right choice for you. The hotel is located in a secluded area on Koh Ngai, one of the most beautiful islands in Southern Thailand.
By the time we visited it in February 2019, the resort was a perfect place to avoid the tourist crowd. Koh Ngai Paradise Beach Resort is only accessible by boat or by a 25-minute walk through the jungle. The beachfront sandy area is really big and it is always possible to find an intimate spot.
We were amazed by the fact that hotel’s guests have their own private beach. Villas are surrounded by a jungle which enhances the privacy and remoteness of Koh Ngai Paradise Beach Resort. The forest is a home of dozens of exotic bird species and we could see many hornbills in their natural habitat.
Koh Ngai Paradise Beach Resort features a stunning location for someone wishing to relax in peace. It is great for a few days but more would be too long for us. Although we are wildlife lovers, the complete lack of night entertainment is a concern. In the evening, we felt as if we were stuck there.
Another drawback was high price tag of everything. The Eastern part of the island was a real fun experience compared to this place. These were two reasons to walk through the jungle and visit the restaurants and beaches on the East coast.
The resort is managed by a Swiss company. The hotel provides accommodation in 32 guesthouses all fitted with a private terrace with a garden view. They all feature useful amenities such as a refrigerator, a seating area, a trouser press and a hairdryer. A flat-screen TV and cable TV channels are also two useful extras. The WiFi is provided only in the lobby which is a serious drawback.
